NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The City of New Orleans will allow  drivers to park their cars on the neutral ground until further notice due to a flash flood watch issued for Monday.

Officials warn residents not to park on any street-car tracks, or block the street-car route.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the south shore through 7 p.m. this evening.

Expect more storms as we kick off this work week. While there will be many dry breaks, isolated heavy downpours are likely and isolated flooding may occur. Tomorrow, we'll have storms around again as a front approaches the area.

The front pushes dry air into the area by early Wednesday. Aside from a few coastal showers, Wednesday will be mostly dry and sunny as a result. This dry air will keep us mostly dry through Friday.
