Report: St. Tammany Parish schools' $416 million budget includes pay raises

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Salaries for workers in the St. Tammany Parish Public School District could get a boost this year.
According to a report by our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, district officials proposed a $416 million budget that includes employee raises totaling at $2.8 million.
The draft budget says that will bring the total salaries for the district up to $235 million.
It continues employee raises in a salary schedule the school board adopted last year.
A public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on Thursday.
