FBI, JPSO investigating bank robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The FBI New Orleans Field Office and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office are requesting the public's help in identifying a suspect they say robbed a bank in Metairie Tuesday.

According to the FBI's report, the suspect walked into Capital One Bank on 3050 Severn Avenue around 2:05 p.m.

The suspect approached the teller and passed a note demanding money, according to the report.

After the suspect received the money, he fled the bank on foot, according to the FBI.

The suspect has been described as a 30-to-40-year-old male, standing 5'8 to 5'10. He weighs approximately 200 to 225 pounds and was wearing a blue short-sleeved button down shirt. He also had a green and white knit cap.

Crimestoppers GNO is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information which leads to the suspect's arrest.
