NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The family of a girl sent home from a Gretna Catholic School because of a hairstyle violation will meet with the Archdiocese schools superintendent Thursday, according to our partners NOLA.com, The Times-Picayune.

A video of the 11-year-old went viral on social media Monday.

She is seen in the video crying as she leaves Christ The King School after being told her braided shoulder length ponytail did not follow the school's dress code.

The policy was changed this Summer allowing only natural hair.
