Metairie, La. - Jefferson Parish investigators make an arrest in a murder September 28th at a Metairie hotel.

Deputies booked James Vandell Hutchinson with second degree murder in the death of King Honore.

Investigators say they matched DNA collected at the crime scene at the La Quinta Inn to Hutchinson.

St. John the Baptist Parish Deputies picked up Hutchinson on a warrant yesterday.

The victim, King Honore, who had been displaced by Hurricane Isaac, was found strangled to death in a room at the La Quinta Inn.

Detectives who questioned Hutchinson say he admitted to visiting the victim at the hotel, but denied having anything to do with his death.

Investigators say Hutchinson had an extensive arrest record, including attempted murder and armed robbery.
