After giving viewers an up-close look at the NFL’s top quarterbacks in its debut season, Quarterback returns in 2025 with a fresh trio of stars, and leading the charge is Burrow, who carved his name into Louisiana football history by delivering LSU’s unforgettable 2019-20 national championship.

Now entering his fifth NFL season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Burrow’s calm leadership and pinpoint accuracy are front and center in Season 2.

With high expectations and plenty of pressure on his shoulders, the series captures Burrow’s push to bring a Lombardi Trophy to Cincinnati.

The Netflix docuseries pulls back the curtain on what it truly takes to lead an NFL franchise. From mic’d-up in-game moments and weekly practice prep to at-home footage and behind-the-scenes recovery sessions, Quarterback Season 2 will offer an all-access look at the physical toll, mental grit, and personal sacrifice it takes to be “the guy” under center.

FULL STORY: Burrow, Jared Goff (Detroit Lions), and Kirk Cousins (Atlanta Falcons) star in Quarterback Season 2 on Netflix

Joining Burrow in Season 2:

  • Jared Goff, who’s leading the high-powered Detroit Lions after a heartbreakingly close loss in the 2023 NFC Championship Game.
  • Kirk Cousins, returning to the series for a second time after his 2023 Achilles injury and a bold move to the Atlanta Falcons.

For Quarterback showrunner Joseph Zucco, securing Burrow’s participation meant creating a foundation of trust — a process that began with a call from executive producer Peyton Manning. With Manning as the bridge between production and the locker room, players like Burrow felt confident the series would respect both their time and their stories.

“Once Joe committed, our team worked closely with him all season long,” said Zucco. “Director Steve Trout had the challenge — and privilege — of capturing a player who is as intense as he is methodical.”

Fans in Louisiana will especially be eager to see how Burrow, a hero from his Baton Rouge days, handles the highs and lows of a pressure-packed NFL season. With the same cool demeanor that once silenced Tuscaloosa, Burrow opens up like never before — not just about football, but about the mental and emotional rollercoaster of carrying a franchise’s hopes week after week.

Whether you’re a Bengals backer or just an LSU Tiger through and through, Quarterback Season 2 is sure to be a must-watch and another chance to cheer on Joe Burrow, Louisiana’s favorite adopted son, as he chases greatness once again.
