Heart of Louisiana: Castle Tree

BASTROP, La. (WVUE) - A North Louisiana state park has one of the biggest, most unusual Cypress trees you’ll find anywhere in the state.
The ages of the giant, old-growth Cypress trees at Chemin-A-Haut State Park are counted not in years but in centuries. It takes about an hour to paddle out to the park’s main attraction, a giant Cypress that locals call the Castle Tree, and Dave McNamara takes us there in the Heart of Louisiana.
