Over 5K without power in St. John the Baptist Parish; some outages restored

LAPLACE, La. (WVUE) - Over 5,000 customers are without power in LaPlace Tuesday (Nov. 19) morning as bands of heavy rains move through the area.

Initially, there were up to 8,000 outages in the area but some homes have seen their power restored.

Additionally, over 1,400 customers in Jefferson Parish are seeing outages and over 600 have been affected in St. Charles.
