Westwego man booked with 88 counts of child porn distribution, AG’s office says

WESTWEGO, La. (WVUE) - A Westwego man was arrested Tuesday (Dec. 17) on allegations he distributed pornography involving young children, the Louisiana Attorney General’s office said.

Robert Paul Maynard, 37, was to be booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on 88 counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, AG Liz Murrill’s office said.

The agency said agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation acted on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Maynard was arrested following a joint investigation by the LBI, Homeland Security Investigations, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Westwego Police Department.

Murrill’s office said the investigation into Maynard’s online activities was ongoing.
