Funeral service set for St. Tammany deputy Sgt. Grant Candies

SLIDELL, La. (WVUE) - Funeral arrangements have been set for St. Tammany Parish deputy sheriff Grant Candies, the agency’s sergeant killed last Sunday (March 23) when struck by a fleeing suspect’s vehicle.

Candies, 37, will be honored Tuesday (April 1) with a memorial service at The Harbor Center in Slidell, the agency announced. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

A funeral service begins at 1 p.m., with a procession to follow.
