Saints begin to address Demario Davis loss by signing LB Kaden Elliss
New Orleans brings back former seventh-round pick on three-year, $33 million deal
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Saints are signing linebacker Kaden Elliss to a three-year deal worth $33 million, according to reports, filling the void left by DeMario Davis, who returned to the New York Jets.

The Saints originally drafted Elliss in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent his most recent three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, where he led the team in tackles in each of the last two seasons.

Saints also restructure McCoy’s contract

New Orleans also restructured center Erik McCoy’s contract, converting more than $9 million of his base salary into a signing bonus, clearing more than $7 million in cap space.

Punter trade with Houston
The Saints sent punter Kai Kroger and a 2028 seventh-round draft pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the same draft.
