LSU baseball swept by Georgia in 10-run rule loss
Defending national champions fall 12-1 to Bulldogs in series finale
ATHENS, Ga. (WVUE) - LSU baseball was swept by Georgia on Sunday after a 12-1 loss that ended in a 10-run rule.
The defending national champions dropped all three games of the weekend series. LSU is now 29-24 overall and 9-18 in SEC play.
Omar Serna Jr. put the Tigers on the board in the top of the third inning with a hard grounder up the middle, but LSU trailed 4-1.
Georgia’s Daniel Jackson hit a two-run shot to opposite field in the bottom of the fourth to extend the Bulldogs’ lead to 6-1.
In the fifth inning, Rylan Lujo hit a grand slam with the bases loaded. The game ended after Georgia scored 12 runs.
