1 injured in large vehicle fire near Slidell

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) - A vehicle fire caused heavy delays near Slidell Thursday during the busy commute.

A call was dispatched to State Police just before 5 p.m. about a fire is on the shoulder of I-12 eastbound just west of Airport Road. Troopers had to close the right lane to clear the wreck.
State Police said one person was injured, but they didn't provide details.
