LSU faces Little Rock to begin Baton Rouge Regional

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - NCAA Regional Baseball returns to Baton Rouge, but the game was delayed due to lightning and inclement weather in the area, according to LSU Baseball.

The game, originally set for 2 p.m. on Friday, was delayed until 7:36 p.m.

(1) LSU and (4) Little Rock open the Baton Rouge Regional at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in game one on the SEC Network and ESPN Plus, followed by game two between Rhode Island (3) and Dallas Baptist (2) at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN Plus.

Winner of the Baton Rouge Regional advances to the NCAA Super Regional, best-of-three series.

  • Saturday, May 31, 1 p.m. Central Time: Game 3: Game 1 Loser vs Game 2 Loser, Elimination Game
  • Saturday, May 31, 5 p.m. Central Time: Game 4: Game 1 Winner vs Game 2 Winner
  • Sunday, June 1, 2 p.m. Central Time: Game 5: Game 3 Winner vs Game 4 Loser, Elimination Game
  • Sunday, June 1, 8 p.m. Central Time: Game 6: Game 4 Winner vs Game 5 Winner
  • (If necessary) Monday, June 2, TBD Central Time: Game 7: Game 6 Winner vs Game 6 Loser, Elimination Game
