More cars to be removed from Bayou St. John

New Orleans, La. - Crews expect to pick up operations to remove submerged cars from Bayou St. John this week.

A total of 25 cars have been found in the bayou over the last few months.

The effort began after the body of missing teacher Terrilynn Monette was found inside her car in the bayou.

State Representative Austin Badon says a salvage company will survey the bayou this week to locate vehicles.

The crew is expected to begin removing what they find later this week.

Badon says this is a way to "finish strong" in the case of Terrilynn Monette.
